Middle School - 6th through 8th Grade
Vacation Bible School
Holy Cross Virtual VBS July 19-23, 2021
Youth of all ages are invited to share a virtual VBS experience with their families at home this summer. This summer VBS will be online and will offer almost everything a traditional VBS would have, but will be designed to work easily at home. We will have Bible stories, videos, related activities, music and much more.
VBS will be a one-week program available online for one month beginning July 19. This year it will consist of two components: preschool and elementary/middle school. Preschoolers will be able to learn about Jesus through their own teachers, activities, and music. The elementary/middle school children and youth will learn about Jesus through their own teachers, activities, and music. Each program consists of five days with a different lesson each day. There is no registration fee involved. The sites can be viewed at any time that works for the family. Families are encouraged to participate together.
Confirmation Class - Weekly on Sundays 10:45-12:15pm and Wednesdays 5:30-7:00pm
Students are welcome to attend either session, as the material covered in both classes each week will be the same. Confirmation involves experiential learning, retreats, lessons, fellowship, and service in the congregation and community.Youth will learn about the Christian faith, in particular the Lutheran faith, using the Bible and Luther's Small Catechism.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Confirmation is now meeting on Sundays at 11 AM via Zoom. For more information, please contact Betsy Burnahm through the church office at 408-356-3525 or by email.
Congratulations to the students who confirmed their faith this year. We pray that God continues to bless them and walk with them in their life of faith in high school and beyond.
